Lower East Side Comedy Tour!
Dear Blog,
Someone recently sent us a MySpace message asking if we ever tour. They were in Toronto, or Topeka, or something. We totally tour, but mostly we tour around New York City. In fact, we are about to start a tour next week. We've got our bags packed and our metro cards charged up. We're going on our Lower East Side Comedy Tour. It's sooooo glamorous being in a band!
We're playing WYSIWYG at PS 122, our favorite live blogger show. It's so live that sometimes people even blog right from the show! This month, it's a blogging film festival!! Check out this awesome list of video bloggers who will be there: Brian Levin and Bob Castrone of The Post Show, Chelsea Peretti of Variety SHAC, The Hazzards (that's us!), Jon Friedman, Odd Todd, Jessica Delfino, Ryanne Hodson, Jay Dedman, Daniel Liss, and Lynn Lane. Ok, technically PS 122 is in the East Village, not the Lower East Side. But in the olden days, the East Village was part of the Lower East Side.
Then Liam McEneaney is having us back to the cozy, funny basement of Lolita Bar for his show Tell Your Friends. It's comedy, and it's Lower East Side. For real! Jim Gaffigan's gonna be there, and Erin Foley, and Eric Kirchberger, and Baron Vaughn, and Wendy Ho, and Liam McEneaney, too. We were once on TV with Jim Gaffigan, on The World Stands Up. Fancy!
We conclude our Lower East Side Comedy Tour with the all-lady comedy show, Chicks and Giggles at Mo Pitkins. (I know it's East Village, but remember about the olden days?)
Yeah, comedy! There will definitely be a Perfect Attendance Prize for anyone not in our band who comes to all of our LES Comedy Tour. This tour is gonna be sweet! We're gonna play some new songs, including one about boners.
After we settle down from our tour, we've got some awesome Wednesday Night Make Out Parties. Pink Steel is playing with us on February 22nd and Bishop Allen is playing with us on March 15th. Pink Steel plays gay heavy metal like you've never heard before. Like never before. And Blog, I have to admit that I have a huuuuuge band crush on Bishop Allen. But don't tell them. It's sort of embarrassing how much I like them. Last summer I went on a car trip and I made what I thought was a sweet mix CD with some Bishop Allen songs. I was psyched for my friends to hear this new awesome band. Shortly after I put the CD in, it was revealed that the driver was roommates with one of the guys from the band. Embarrassing! Anyway, Bishop Allen can be proud to know that I have sewed tons of awesome outfits listening to their songs.
Love,
Sydney
P.S. Blog, if you want us to tour to your city, you should totally try to book us there. We'd love to come. Especially if you live in San Francisco, Boston, or LA.
P.P.S. Try not to miss Will too much while he's at Sundance. He'll be back. And he'll probably get like twenty or thirty film deals while he's there.
